Tutorial on how to submit your blog Sitemap to Google

Without doubt, Google is the best in this globe when speaking of search engines has been around since September 4, 1998. Getting your blog listed on this search engine can really play a very tremendous role in bringing in more traffic to the blog expecially when its listed with Google
Indexing is The act of making search engine recognize and list your blog or website
Barely last week, I give a Tutorial on how to submit your blog Sitemap to bing and yahoo without error 

but today I am going to show you the easiest way to submit your blog Sitemap to Google without error and how   to get your blog pages indexed very quickly so that you can get that stream of traffic which your blog really deserves.



Lets get started

Step 1:
The first thing you will do is that you will get a Sitemap for your blog or website
Since Blogger is owned by Google, so its really easy to get your Sitemap
For a Blogger blog, you can just use the default Blogger sitemap which is the same for all Blogger blog besides the URL of your blog which is then added before it. All you need to do as a Blogger blog owner is copy the below default Blogger sitemap

feeds/posts/default?orderby=UPDATED

Just add this to the end of your blog url making it to look like

http://www.waplordcrib.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?orderby=UPDATED

NOTE :
the above Sitemap is limited to 26 post only that is it will only show your latest 26 posts
But if you had more than 26 posts you can use The code I'll be giving below instead of the Sitemap above

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500


Step 2:
Go to Google website owners page 
You should arrive at a page that looks just like the one in the image below.

all we needed is the two links which i have boxed in RED as shown in the image above 

Click on the Add your URL link which should take you to a page
Now enter your blog’s URL in the space for the field titled URL and then type in the CAPTCHA before clicking on the Submit Request button

Once that is done, you should see a pop-up message which reads
Your request has been received and will be processed shortly

Next go back to the first page which contains the link for Adding your URL and Webmaster Tools .
Click on the link for Webmasters Tools to take you to your Google’s webmasters tool page which should by now contain your blog.

Click on the blog which should display the blogs current status.
Locate and click on Sitemaps

Copy any of the below Sitemap link depending on the number posts you have in your blog and paste in the box provided next to your blog’s URL address.


For Blogger blog’s having less than 500 posts

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500


For Blogger blog’s having between 501 and 1001 posts

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=500


For Blogger blog’s having between 1001 and 1500 posts

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1001&max-results=500


For Blogger blog’s having between 1501 and 2000 posts

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=501&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1001&max-results=500
atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1501&max-results=500
