Meta description is one important part of seo and you can't afford to miss it cause it absence might drag your SERPS to mud (trust me it won't happen to you has long has I'm here)

it is not visible to visitor but very essential for robots because they find it extremely helpful when you provide meta description tags

How to add meta description tags to blogger 

===)> login to your Blogger dashboard


===)> click settings>>>search preference >>> meta tags

===)>  Just click the description then add your blog description there  don't let it be more than 145 characters... Look at the below screenshot

whenever you write a post,just before you publish it, go to the right side of the post editor

You will see search description, click on it and add not more that 145 characters describing the post in summary
