Add robots.txt and robot tags to blogger

Here's another SEO tips tutorial series hosted by waplordcrib,

Robots.txt is an instruction given to search engine on how to optimise your blog, it directs search engines spiders like Googlebot,bing bot and yahoo slurb

How to add robots.txt to blogger 

To add robots.txt to blogger just follow the simple steps

===)> login to your Blogger dashboard

===)> click settings and then click on search preference

===)> scroll down,y will see a robots.txt title... Click on it and then click yes
A box will be opened... Just paste this code inside the box

User-agent: Mediapartners-Google
User-agent: *
Disallow: /search
Disallow: /search?
Disallow: /search?q=*
Disallow: /*?updated-max=*
Disallow: /*.html
Allow: /*.html$
Allow: /
Sitemap: http://www. yourblogurl .com/atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=500

Replace yourblogurl with your blog url address

Click save and you're done



How to add correct robot tags 

Robot tags setting is below the robots.txt box... Just click on the robot tags and follow the below screenshot

Click the Save button at the bottom and that's it
